Unidentified Past Monsters Mathew has Battled!

We returned to the abandoned mansion and encountered a ruined courtyard filled with skeletons. Many were entangled in vines, while others were held in iron cages. Athough we investigated far into the night, we could not find the culprit and wondered if we were actually looking at an old kill site that had fallen out of use. But we returned again two nights later and finally unlocked the secret. There was a hidden door and behind it was a black-magic chamber. This horn-faced beast dwelt within. He wore strange, technological armor and had a facial exoskeleton. He seemed impervious to Mathew's blade and was in the process of pounding the life out of the Valhalladrim until, acting on a tip from a friend, Mathew jammed the blade into the creature's mouth. That seemed to do the trick.
Once slain, the beast burst into blue flame and burned away to fine white ash, including his strange armor.
We photographed these human remains on the first night. We counted at least 35 victims and enough scattered bones to account for several more.
